Richfield Springs, NY-Mrs. Caroline F. "Carol" (Hertz) Mann, age 80, of Springer Road (town of Warren), passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, January 20, 2019 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown with her loving daughters, by her side.

Our hearts are broken.  She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Agnes Hertz and her brother Joseph Hertz Jr.  Carol was an extraordinary woman of many talents who loved a good adventure.  She was kind and had an endless supply of smiles as well as a sympathetic shoulder.  Family was everything to Carol.  Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her family and friends.  She left behind a legacy of love.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George Mann, her two loving daughters, Corinna Quade and Debi Monroe, her two sons-in-law, Gary Quade and Peter Monroe, her beloved grandchildren, Peter Monroe Jr., Nicole Monroe and Sarah Quade, her sister Margaret Schaft, many nieces and nephews and her two cats, Sadie and Willie.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the American Legion Middletown Post 151, 185 Wawayanda Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940.  The family wishes to thank those who have extended emotional support, together with the nurses and aides of Hospice & Palliative Care and the extraordinary staff of nurses and doctors at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, for their warmth and caring.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to your local animal shelter and/or Hospice & Palliative Care in your community.
