Alan John Zuis

Mr. Alan J. Zuis, age 69, of Burch Street, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Little Falls Hospital with his family at his side.

He was born April 17, 1954 in Herkimer, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Chmielewski) Zuis and educated in Herkimer schools. He was employed with Empire Fiberglass, Little Falls as a supervisor.  He was married to his wife of 43 years, the former Karen Llewellyn.

Alan loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed going to camp and hunting.  As a young man, he enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his wife, Karen at home, his children, Audrey Zuis of Little Falls, Andrea Zuis of Gloucester, MA and Alexander Zuis and wife Madison of Gansevoort; four grandchildren, Katheryn, Owen, McKenna and Blake Zuis.  He also leaves his sisters, Valerie Fasteson and husband Stanley, Pamela Bowers and husband John; many nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchildren, Victoria, Kimberly and Gregory.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 4-6 pm at the Little Falls owned Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131.  As per Alan’s request, there will be no public funeral service.
