Mr. Alexander Olhovsky, 88, of Cream Ridge, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, December 17, 2024, at Bartley Nursing and Rehab, Jackson, NJ.
He was born on May 7, 1936, in Staroye Selo, Belarus, son of the late Nicholas and Katrina Olhovsky. Alexander was employed for many years as a tool and die maker. He was predeceased by his wife, Evdokya in 2006. Alexander was an avid musician who had a band that he conducted with his brothers and nephews.
Survivors include his beloved family, a son, Paul Olhovsky and wife Stacey of Cream Ridge, NJ, son, Sergey Olhovsky and wife Antonina of Reston, VA, son, Metropolitan Nicholas Olhovsky of New York City; a brother, Dimitri Olhovsky and wife Olga of Burlington, New Jersey; his grandchildren, Katia, Maryana, Alec; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings, Anton of Belarus, Jan of Trenton, New Jersey, Manya of Sydney, Australia and Anna of Port Jervis, New York.
Services will take place at St. Vladimir Memorial Church, 134 Perrineville Rd., Jackson Township, NJ 08527 on Friday evening, December 20, 2024, from 7-9 pm and will also be held on Saturday, December 21st, commencing at 10:30 am, also from St. Vladimir’s Church. A final service will take place on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Holy Trinity Monastery, 1407 Robinson Road, Jordanville at a time to be announced followed by burial in the Holy Trinity Monastery Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of Daniel J.
