Allen K. Green, age 59, a native of Schenectady, passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2024, in his home.
He was born in Schenectady on October 25, 1965, to John and Karen Green (Wiley) and employed as a carpenter. Allen was predeceased by both of his parents, Karen and John, his nephew Gregory Green, and his youngest daughter, Nichole Charboneau.
Allen, a man of many talents, spent the bulk of his years working in the carpentry industry. In his later years, he worked at an alcohol and drug treatment center, giving back to the recovery community that he considered to be friends and family, in Utica, NY. He gave with all of his heart to those who struggled alongside him with addiction. He was a great friend, willing to help and give all of himself to those he cared about. In the end, his heart could give no more and gave out on him. Those who knew Allen well know he had a tough spirit and a sympathetic heart. He loved to make people smile, with a prank, a wise-cracking remark or a kind word. He was quite a character and will be missed more than words can say. May we all remember him in his best moments, those that touched our souls and left us with fond memories.
He is survived by his eldest daughter, Alyssa Charboneau, his ex-wife Sheila Charboneau and his siblings Laurie Green, Holly Green and Christopher St. John.
A celebration of life will be held for Allen in the near future. Details for that service will be announced at a later date. Please return to this website to get details on the date, time and location of that event as friends and family are all welcome to attend. His funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between St. Johnsville and Little Falls, 315-508-5131.
