Beverley Stapleton Sullivan passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Masonic Care Facility in Utica at the age of 99.
She was born on January 28th, 1921 in Cortland, New York and was the daughter of the late Michael and Violetta Stapleton. Beverley and her parents ran Beverley’s Gift Shop and Cafeteria in Waterville, New York for many years. She then went on to attend Utica College where she received her education in Human Resources. She was employed by the American Management Association in Hamilton, New York and worked in the insurance field in Syracuse. She then worked for the Mayor in the Village of Clinton, until she retired.
Survivors include her daughter Cynthia Harris of Frankfort, four grandchildren; Joshua, Matthew, Jacob, and Shana and two great-grandchildren; Avery and Isaac. She was predeceased in death by her sister Phyllis Woycik and her beloved son, Michael Williams.
Beverley was a strong, hardworking woman who was devoted to her family. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at the Presbyterian Church in Clinton, where she was a loyal member. Beverley and her family’s care has been entrusted to Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (Corner of Bidleman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131.
