Billy George "Will" Bumgarner of Rome, N.Y. passed away on January 21, 2023.
He was born on February 28, 1980 in Centralia, Illinois. He was the son of Paul Bumgarner and Kimberly Rowcliff Williams. Billy was a hard worker and went above and beyond what was asked of him. Billy as an adult finished his high school education and got his GED in his 30’s and went on to get his associates degree in occupational studies in electronics and computer service technology at Island Drafting on Long Island, N.Y. and just in the past year he went on to start college online for psychology.
Billy was very dedicated to going to church at Grace Baptist in Rome, N.Y. He loved his church family like they were his own. Billy loved going camping, fishing and loved his Jeep life. He always listened to country music and country gospel. Billy was a wonderful husband, a great daddy to his fur babies Harlie and Mohawk, as well as a loving and caring brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Even though he couldn’t have his own children Billy was great with kids and he loved spending time with his niece Abigail Marie and his cousin’s and friends kids.
Will leaves behind his wife of 10 years, Tammy Sue Bumgarner of Rome, N.Y., stepmother, Sarah Bumgarner of Salam, Illinois, a half brother, Keith Bumgarner (Katie Bumgarner), father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Sue Buser, a sister-in-law, Jessica Berg (Paul Berg), brother-in-law, Chris Buser (Tess Buser), and two nieces, Kennedy Bumgarner and Abigail Marie Berg, many aunts, uncles and cousins as well, especially his cousin Misty Durham (Curtis Durham) and their two daughters, Terra and Nevaeh Durham. He also leaves behind many friends especially Melissa India-Andrade (Chris Andrade) and their children Mia Michelle and Mateo, as well as his friend, Laura Garofolo (Pete Garofolo) and their children, Kayla and Kyle Garofolo. He was preceded in death by his mother Kimberly Rowcliff Williams, father, Paul Bumgarner, grandfather, Bill Culp, and grandmother, Wanda Culp. Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131. There are no scheduled services.
