Carey Clark Koleda

Frankfort, NY-Mr. Carey Clark Koleda, age 63, of Cogar Drive, beloved husband of Nancy E. Koleda, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Faxton/St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. He was born April 19, 1955 in Queens, NY.  Growing up on on the south shore of Long Island, he enjoyed sailing, water skiing, and clamming. In 1980, he and his wife Nancy Koleda were married and started a family.  This year they celebrated 38 years of marriage.  Carey worked as scientific technician at Stony Brook University for 20 years, followed by 5 years at Brookhaven National Laboratory. He proudly participated in the National Synchrotron Light Source I & II projects.  After retiring at 62, Carey and his wife moved upstate to Frankfort, NY into their dream home nestled on 35 acres of wooded property. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, his cherished sons Eric, Scott, and Kyle and their significant others Christine, Hayley, and Kait, as well as his grandchildren Nathan, Layla & Timothy.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.  Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidleman Road), between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131 has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.  There are no calling hours.  We hope you will join us for this very special memorial brunch to commemorate and celebrate the life of our beloved husband, father, and friend Carey Clark Koleda. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to this memorial service, commencing on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 11am - 3pm at AOH Div. 8 Hall, 79 Magnolia Dr, Selden, NY 11784.  Food & Drinks will be served. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your loved ones or walk in the woods for a peaceful moment.
