Her career was interrupted when she started a family, and as you can see from the list above it kept her very busy. She retired as a food service employee at BOCES in East Herkimer.
Carol was a loyal member of St Francis de Sales Church in Herkimer, where her faith kept her grounded with her family and friends. Her commitment, dedication and sacrifice for her family was unmatched, especially her devotion to caring for her son Thomas until she was 87. She enjoyed road trips with her brother and sisters and loved to bake. Her apple pie, chocolate chip cookies, chili sauce, strawberry jam and homemade cinnamon buns were family favorites. Born during the great depression and living to the age of the computer she witnessed incredible changes in the world during her lifetime.
A special thank you is extended to St Luke’s Nursing Home, especially the staff on Barton East. We could feel the love they had for mom on her final day.
