Carol A. Farrington

January 23, 1945 — March 10, 2024

Middleville, New York

Carol Ann Farrington, 79, of Middleville, beloved wife of the late Ralph Harold Farrington Jr., passed away of natural causes in her home on Sunday evening, March 10, 2024.

Carol was born January 23, 1945, in Herkimer, daughter of the late Christine (Kolarik) Mosher and George Mosher. A lifelong resident of Herkimer County, Carol received her education in Herkimer and in her younger days worked at the local movie theater and DMV. In her later years, she had been employed at the Newport Party Shop and Liquor Store as well as Newport Hardware. Her most important job was that of a dedicated homemaker and mother, which she excelled at.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and cousin. She was a true warrior with an immeasurable internal strength. Carol was an avid reader, and one would often see her with her nose in a book or working a crossword puzzle. She was a magician in the kitchen and over the years created so many delicious meals and baked goods. Carol had an appreciation of nature and loved beautifying her home with flowers and planting her flower beds. She enjoyed the game Yahtzee and playing other board games with her family, especially her grandchildren. The family getting together every Sunday was truly important to Carol, and she put so much love into each meal.

Carol leaves behind her loving family; her children, Jodie Farrington, Jim Farrington, Kristina Farrington, Kelly Spence, Mark Farrington, Jeff (Sherry) Farrington and Joe Farrington; grandchildren, Nathan Farrington, Skyler Brault, Noah Brault, James Farrington, Aiden Farrington, Morrigan Spence, Connor Spence, Willow Farrington, Jeffrey (Jen) Farrington, Erin Yates, Aubrey Rastelli, Jordan Lowe, and Codi Louis; and her big brother, William Mosher. Carol also leaves behind six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, many cousins, and friends who all loved her dearly. Carol is now reunited with her husband Ralph and two of her children, her son, Daniel Farrington and daughter, Janaye Farrington- Lowe.

To honor the family’s wishes there will be no public calling hours or services as the family will be saying their goodbye privately. Carol and her family’s care have been placed in trust of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidleman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131.
