LITTLE FALLS, NY-Charles H. Patterson, 94, of Little Falls, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 3, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Little Falls.  He was born on April 20, 1924, in Reed City, MI, the son of the late Charles C. and Marian Mulholland Patterson. Charles was raised in Port Huron, MI and was a graduate of Port Huron High School. On September 8, 1950, he married the former, Shirley Koch in Marine City, MI. On January 29, 1943, Charles was inducted the United Sates Army where he served during World War II. Following his commission with the Army, he continued his service in the United States Navy Reserves until 1949.  On September 8th, 1950, Charles married the former Shirley Koch in Marine City, Michigan. Prior to his retirement, he was a Tool Specialist for Trico Industries, Buffalo. Charles was a member of the St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Marine City, MI where he was very active with their Pilots Program. He had an exquisite knowledge of tools, mechanisms and anything mechanical. As a past time, Charles enjoyed repairing old watches and camera which led to an extensive collection of antique cameras that he restored to working condition.  Charles is survived by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Shirley;  his children: Charles and Debbie Patterson of Orchard Park, NY, Christy and Daniel Wopperer of Wake Forest, NC, Cornell and Mary Kay Patterson of N. Tonawanda, NY, Sanford and Nancy Patterson of Ransomville, NY, Cynthia Landveld and James Lloyd of Little Falls, NY, Suzanne Patterson of Port Huron, MI; Daughter-in-law, Gail Patterson of Jensen Beach, FL; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; He also leaves his sisters; Mary Jean Boyd of Port Huron, MI and Jolita and Paul Scheingold of Stanley, VA; several nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by his sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Sue Patterson and Spencer Patterson; his brother, Shirley “Pat” Patterson. The family will hold a private celebration of life. Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131,has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements.  In keeping with Mr. Patterson's wishes, he has made the gift of anatomical donation to the Upstate Medical University.
