Charlie R. Pueschel, Jr.

Mr. Charlie R. Pueschel, Jr., age 81, of the Town of Danube, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, July 24th, 2023 at The Grand Nursing and Rehab, Ilion.

He was born on Aug. 19, 1941 in Ames, NY son of the late Charlies and Marguerite (Garrison) Pueschel and educated in Little Falls schools.  He was united in marriage with Carol Sue Marko on Aug. 3, 1968 in Little Falls, a union of 42 years until Mrs. Pueschel's passing on March 19, 2010. Charlie served in the US Army enlisting in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1963. He retired as a superintendent from Burrow's Paper Mill, Little Falls after 40 years of dedicated service.  He was an avid farmer, enjoyed bailing hay and enjoyed trips to the casino with his wife.

Survivors include his children, Kimberly Pueschel of Little Falls, Robin Gottung (Ted) of Little Falls, his grandson, Theodore James (TJ) and three sisters, Agnes Pueschel of Ilion, Ella Lassell of Canajoharie and Mary Ellen Surace of E. Herkimer, many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Patty Barnes, Virginia Loren, Marjorie Hazzard, Alice Rotondi, Allie Bevington, Helena Drab and Evelyn McDonald.

There are no calling hours.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Charlie's graveside memorial service commencing at 11 am on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023 from Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls with the Rev. Joseph Famulare, officiating.  Military honors will be offered by the US Army.  Kindly consider and send memorial offerings in Charlie's name to Herkimer County 4-H, 5657 NY-5, Herkimer, NY 13350.  The Pueschel family would like to offer their thanks to the staff at The Grand in Ilion for their caring concern.
