Cheryl Ann (Vallecorsa) Crimmins DiCesare,
Lifelong Little Falls Resident
Former City of Little Falls Clerk

Cheryl Ann (Vallecorsa) Crimmins DiCesare, age 73, a lifelong Little Falls resident passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, June 5, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. At the time of her passing she was surrounded with the love and support of her children.

She was born on August 20, 1948 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Anthony and Stella (Maruszak) Vallecorsa and graduated from Little Falls High School, "Class of 1966". She attended Mohawk Valley Community College. She was married to Bruce Crimmins for several years. Many will remember Cheryl as the Little Falls Deputy City Clerk where she served in this capacity for 6 1/2 years, prior to being elected to City Clerk in 1981, serving in this position for 18 years. During her tenure she gained the respect of many in the Little Falls community, resigning in 1999. In the Clerks position, she formed an extraordinary friendship with her deputy clerk, Barbara Spraker and in 1999 Cheryl graciously donated her kidney to her good and dear friend Barbara. She was last employed with DK Griffith, Utica.

Cheryl was loved and respected by many. In her spare time, she loved reading and watching Wheel Of Fortune, Big Brother and Jeopardy. One of her favorite pastimes was enjoying one of her favorite food dishes, especially the Italian ones. Cheryl was adamant that close, loving ties remained strong between her girls and entire family. Family came first in her life and held her loved ones always so very close to her heart. Her happiest times were spent in the presence of her grandchildren, all of whom she treasured. Being a mom and a grandma were Cheryl's greatest joys; she was a very maternal woman who was greatly loved by all those in her tender care. She loved being in the comfort and surroundings of her home. Cheryl was known for her kindness and was a thoughtful and respectful woman who was friendly to all people. Those who knew her, attribute these wonderful qualities to her upbringing. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling, golfing and crafts. Cheryl was so proud to accomplish one of the items on her bucket list, traveling to Italy in 2019, creating amazing, treasured memories. She was of the Catholic faith and attended Holy Family Parish, Little Falls.

Survivors include her adored family; her daughters, Michele Crimmins of Little Falls, Kristin Eunson and husband Arthur of Clifton Park and Karen Crimmins of Whitesboro; her brothers, Ed Vallecorsa of Naples, FL, Joan Blanchard and her son, Michael Blanchard "Mikey" of Little Falls and Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Vallecorsa. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Adam Miller, Carson Marko, II, Simone Eunson and Nicholas Eunson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In Cheryl's memory, kindly consider a contribution to the Little Falls Public Library.
