Cindy Lu (Florian) Brelinsky

Cindy Lu (Florian) Brelinsky, age 66, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023 with the love and support of her family, by her bedside at the St. Luke's Campus of the Mohawk Valley Healthcare System, New Hartford. Her passing followed a courageous battle with cancer.  

She was born in Little Falls on Aug. 10, 1957, daughter of the late Kurt and Thelma (Miller) Florian educated in Little Falls schools. She was united in marriage with David Brelinsky on July 13, 1975 at the Little Falls Lutheran Church, a wonderful union recently celebrating 48 years.  

Cindy and her husband Dave spent 11 years wintering in their RV in South Texas.  Cindy enjoyed making jewlery and spending time in the company of her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she absolutely adored. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who was passionate and focused on the needs of her family. She was very proud of the home that she provided for her family and was an incredibly gracious host to her loved ones. She was recalled as the happiest when it came to being with her loved ones and tending to their needs. Being around the energy of her grandkids and great grandkids gave her the greatest joy! She was the definition of a loving matriarch who will be truly missed.

Survivors besides her devoted family, her husband Dave at home, her daughter, Connie Tucker of Little Falls; her cherished grandchildren, Corey Tucker, Jason Tucker and Emelia Tucker all of Little Falls; two adored great grandchildren, Jordan and Isabella Tucker; her brother, Kurt Florian and wife Marie of Little Falls; many nieces, nephews and cousins; in law, Winifred Brelinsky of Little Falls and several sisters in law and a brother in law.  She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers, Robert, Russell and Keith Florian.

The family would like to offer their gratitude to Amanda Whittaker in St. Luke's ER and those at the cancer center in New Hartford, along with the staff at the cancer center in Philadelphia for the kindness and compassion offered to Cindy and her family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial service for Cindy commencing at 6 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from the chapel of the locally owned and operated Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, Town of Manheim, 315-508-5131, where family and friends will celebrate her life. Visitation will be held, prior to the service, also on Wednesday, from 4-6 pm.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
