Mrs. Darlene A. Walters (Parry) age 75, of St. Johnsville, NY passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with terminal cancer.

She was born in Gloversville, NY on April 19, 1951, daughter to the late William and Beverly Parry (Wilson). Darlene spent a loving 53 years married to her husband Richard Walters until his untimely passing in 2022.

Darlene lives on through her children; Lori Walters, Richard W. Walters and Matthew Foster (Jessica). She leaves her sister, Donna Serrano, and sister- in-laws, Linda Osborne and Gwynne Parry, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved and adored with all her heart.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Walters, her son, Michael Walters, her brother, Mike Parry as well as her parents William and Beverly Parry (Wilson).

Darlene was a woman who held no judgement toward others, she loved deeply and fully. She did not care who you were, the circumstances life handed you or whether she "knew you from Adam" as her and Richard used to say. She was devoted to God and fully lived by God is love and forgiveness.

To Darlene, family was the most important thing she had. Even while battling cancer, she still could be found on the couch spending time with her loved ones, when she could no longer physically spend time with them there, she surrounded herself with pictures of those she loved. It never mattered to her how often she saw them, her people were always her people. Though she will be severely missed, Darlene would want us all to remember her love and that she is no longer in pain.

Darlene will be buried with her husband, at the Gerald B.H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 11:30am, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871. A celebration of remembrance will follow at 2:00pm at the Gloversville Moose Lodge, 138 E. State Street Ext., Gloversville, NY 12078.
