David C. Shaut

St. Johnsville, NY-David C. Shaut, 71, lifelong resident of St. Johnsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, with his loving family by his side, at his residence. He was born on the family farm on June 28, 1947, the son of the late Florentina Mosher Darling and Clifford Shaut. On August 22, 1992, he married the former, Dawn M. Aney, in Dolgeville.   David was a dedicated hard-working individual who grew up on his family farm. In continuing his family’s traditions, he owned and operated his farm for many years. Following his retirement from the farm, David went on to drive truck for Gorman Brothers, Amsterdam. Most recently, he owned and operator his own cattle trucking company. He is survived by his wife, Dawn; his children, Wendy Shaut Miller of St. Johnsville, Megan Shaut Milette of Rockwell, NC and August “Gus” Shaut of St. Johnsville; his grandchildren, Blaine Miller, Jarred Miller, Grayson Milett and Ainslee Shaut. Also survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. David was predeceased by his son, Lance Aney Shaut on August 19, 1995. In keeping David’s wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family
