Deanna B. "De" Shaver

Deanna B. Shaver, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Thursday evening, May 12, 2022. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded with the love and support of her family at her bedside.

She was born in Little Falls, daughter of the late William and Genevieve (Drabent) Dunn and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. She retired from Redco and also worked as an LPN at Van Allen's Nursing Home. De was a member of the Holy Family Parish where she was a Eucharistic Minister and in the Rosary Society. De was active in the community, belonging to the Little Falls Democratic Party. She enjoyed golfing at the Municipal Golf Course, visiting the library, the YMCA, and playing Mahjong and cards with her many friends. Some of De's greatest times were spent with her family and close friends.

Survivors include her children, Thomas (Tracey and Makenzie), Michele (Greg), Greg (Natascha) and grandchildren, Rose (Rashad) and Anthony. She is also survived by sisters, Marilyn (John) George, Judith Helmer and sister in law, Carol Dunn, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, William and Edward.

De was laid to rest in her family's plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer on June 17, 2022. Her dear friend, Deacon Joseph DeLorenzo, officiated.
