Debi M. Gonyea, age 62, of Maynard Ave, Utica passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8th, 2021 after a long courageous battle with cancer, with her loved ones by her side.
Debi was born June 19th, 1958 in South Glens Falls, NY. She was the daughter of the late Armand Gonyea and Lupe (Wilkins) Gonyea.
Debi is survived by her daughter, AmySue (Ladlee) Armstrong as well as two brothers, Rick Gonyea and his fiancé Kelly, and Jay Gonyea. Debi is also survived by a nephew, Arney MacDuff, and several other family members and friends.
She will be remembered as being a kind and fun loving person who loved the color yellow. She was always willing to help anyone in need and loved to have a good time, "I'll drink to that." Her family and friends would like to thank St. Elizabeth's Hospital Staff and Slocum Dickson's staff and doctors, for their compassion and care. Any condolences or donations to the family may be sent or brought to the family at 2218 Maynard Avenue, Utica, New York 13502.
Debi and her family's care has been entrusted to Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, Little Falls (corner of Bidelman Road). 315-508-5131 A celebration of life for Debi will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
