Dennis G. Young, age 75, of Monroe Street, Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6th, 2020 at the Abraham House, Rome, NY. At the time of his passing, he had the support of his loving daughter, Megan Barnes, by his side.
Dennis enjoyed making people laugh and was someone who would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He was a hard worker, he loved to fix things. He loved to be outdoors and spend time with his family. He mostly loved spending time with his grandchildren and taking them out to get ice cream, their laughter and smiles were something he cherished deeply.
He is survived by his daughter Megan Barnes, her husband Steven Jr. and their children, Braylee, Colton and Brandon of Little Falls, New York. His son, Christopher Young, of Fort Myers, Florida; his daughter, Lisa Doody, her husband Jeff, and their children Kylie and Drew of Middletown, Rhode Island; his daughter Dina Gooding, her wife Kim, and their son Cameron of Westbrook,Maine.
His family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility for their care and support. The family would also like to thank the Abraham House in Rome for their compassion and care. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Abraham House in Dennis’ memory.
Dennis and his family's care has been placed in the trust of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidelman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131.
