Donald J. Judson passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, at Wynn Hospital in Utica, New York.
He was born on May 12, 1974, in Utica to Steven Redner and Donna Judson. Donald also attended Frankfort Schools.
Donald had a diverse career, which included working at Lars Tetan Cigars and delivering for the Observer Dispatch. He also spent a significant portion of his career as a mechanic for Midas Automotive, where he was well-regarded and made many lasting friendships. Most recently, he served as a Factory Production Manager at Tessy Plastics in Elbridge, NY, where his colleagues respected him for his skill and dedication.
Outside of his professional life, Donald was also a proud Ordained Minister.
Donald, known affectionately as Donny, was a man whose presence brought life and laughter wherever he went. He possessed a rare gift of humor, delighting those around him with jokes and laughter that left lasting imprints on the hearts of family and friends. His spirit was one of joy and warmth, and the many cherished memories shared among loved ones are a testament to the impact he had on their lives.
Donald was a true lover of the outdoors who nurtured a deep appreciation for the natural world. He dreamed of traveling to experience the beauty and wonders nature has to offer, a passion evident in how he embraced life and looked forward to new adventures. He found great peace and inspiration in connecting with the environment.
In addition to his love for nature, Donny was an avid gamer. Gaming was an important way for him to connect and share time with his children and friends.
Donald’s survivors are a testament to the strong bonds he fostered throughout his life. He is lovingly remembered by his brothers Adam Judson and his wife Nicole who Donny always consider a "sister" , Allen Judson and his fiancé Bethany Howard, Edward Judson, Steven Redner, and David Redner; his sister Cheyanne Redner; his nieces and nephews Ella Judson, Adam Judson II, and Ameilio; and last but not least His children whom he loved and cherished, Jade, Kaitelyn, and Donald Judson along with their mother Melanie Rose, and Drake Judson and his mother Sharon Dwyer. . Each bears the imprint of Donald’s generous spirit and the laughter he so readily shared.
His proudest accomplishment was the ability to bring joy and lightheartedness to every room, making him a beacon of happy memories and enduring friendships. The legacy he leaves behind is one of compassion, humor, and love—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Donald J. Judson’s passing marks the end of a chapter filled with laughter and kindness, but his memory will forever be a source of comfort and joy. His life, marked by dedication, humor, and an adventurous spirit, leaves a profound mark on all who were fortunate to know him.
