Donna Jean (Butts) Corriveau
“Meme” or “DJ”
Donna Jean (Butts) Corriveau, age 68 of Ilion, a beloved sister, mother, meme, and friend left us on the afternoon of April 21, 2021. Her heart could not hold all the love she had for everyone anymore and gave out with her daughter Cheri (Corriveau) Pellerin and her son-in-law Jeremy Pellerin by her side at MVHS St. Luke's Campus, New Hartford, NY.
Donna was born on January 16, 1953, in Putnam, CT. She grew up in Woodstock, CT, the 2nd oldest of 15 kids. During her life, Donna also lived in North Grosvenordale, CT, before moving to Dayville, CT, where she lived for many years before moving to Central NY. Donna was like a mom to everyone she met and would try to help anyone that needed it.
Donna enjoyed crocheting blankets, making pom-pom pillows, reading, and talking about the bible, and just being with people. Donna found the good in everyone and spread her love to everyone with her hugs…whether you wanted one or not, she would always get her hug. She will greatly be missed and forever be in our hearts.
Donna is survived by her two daughters Andrea (Almada) Wood and her husband Todd of Dayville, CT, and Cheri (Corriveau) Pellerin and her husband Jeremy of Danube, NY. Her grandchildren Rebecca McCabe of Little Falls, NY, Connor Wood and his fiancé Cadie Mecteau of Dayville CT, and Daniel Wood of Dayville CT.
