Dorothy S. Kelly

Utica, NY-Dorothy Virginia (Swigwart) Kelly, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home, New Hartford. Born on December 2, 1924 in Utica, a daughter of the late Gustav and Alice Fovel Siegwart. She was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales in Utica and retired from General Electric in Utica.  A few of Dorothy's favorite activites were playing the slot machines at Turning Stone and shopping on QVC. Survivors include her sons, Robert Kelly (Cynthia) of Albany, and John Kelly (Ronna) of Marcy; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Joann Kelly (Patrick) Grace and Matthew; Jeff Perry, Isabella and Carter;  Kaleena Musumeci (Matthew), Sammy; and Shawn Kelly; sisters, Lucille Sellars (George), Joan Ryan, and Mary Ann Trumfio (Michael); many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Robert Kelly; daughter, Laura Perry; sisters, Alice Burns and Carolyn Seigwart McCarthy Wilcock; brothers-in-law, William Ryan, Eugene McCarthy and Ken Wilcock. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. William and Mrs. Jo Parker of Herkimer for the excellent and very compassionate care that their mother received from them for so many years.  A memorial service for Dorothy will be held privately at the convenience of the family  Daniel J.
