Mr. Fred M. Case, age 72, of State Route 5, town of St. Johnsville, passed away on Monday afternoon, Dec. 27, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Amsterdam with the love and support of his family, at his bedside.

He was born on April 10, 1949, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Milo F. and Myrtle Case. He was a lifelong St. Johnsville resident and graduated from the St. Johnsville High School “Class of 1967” with honors. On July 19, 2001, Fred was united in marriage with the former Linda L. Edmunds at the St. John's Reformed Church with the Rev. Lisa Vanderwall, officiating. Fred was a longtime deacon at the St. John's Reformed Church, St. Johnsville where he was also in charge of building and grounds.

Mr. Case was a car collector and was very proud of his Corvette along with this Ford F150. In his spare time he enjoyed car racing. He had a true passion for animals, especially his pets, Angel, Cocoa and Cooper.

Survivors include his beloved family; his wife Linda at home; his children, Toby and Richie Case, Jessica Replogle and husband Allen of Missouri, Tiffany Nitka and husband Mike of Ilion and Kyle Fraser of St. Johnsville; many inlaws and extended family members.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will take place later in the spring of 2022 at St. Johnsville Cemetery in the village of St. Johnsville, where interment will take place with his parents. Fred and his family's care has been placed in the trust of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between St. Johnsville and Little Falls, 315-508-5131.
