George L. Getchell

Mr. George L. Getchell, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in the comfort of his home.

George was born in Islip, Long Island on May 21, 1963, to Ms. Corrine Getchell. George had a great passion for tinkering with small engines and loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling and spending time with his beloved family.

He is survived by his love, Katrina Erb, his daughters, Jeanine Erb and her boyfriend Billy Allen, Hazel Burger and her husband James, his son-in-law, Matthew Hall as well as his 8 cherished grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family.

George was preceded in death by his mother Corrine Getchell, his grandparents, and his daughter, Shararhonda Hall.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services, his family will celebrate his life privately.
