George William Vilardi

Mr. George W. Vilardi, Jr. age 57, formerly of Ilion, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, November 21, 2022 at Oneida Healthcare, after a long illness.

He was born on Feb 6, 1965, son of the late George W. Vilardi, Sr. and Madelynn A. Williams.  George was educated in Whitesboro schools and was last employed as a car detailer.  George enjoyed fishing, playing cards and archery.  He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his companion, Cheryl Ann Howard of Hope Mills, NC, his children, Drew Vilardi and girlfriend Miranda Aldrich of Rome and Dylan Vilardi and Marlaina Felix of Rome; two grandsons, Dean Vilardi and Ignacio Vilardi.  Also surviving is his stepsister, Brenda Sloan and husband Mark of Whitesboro.  He was preceded in death by a step brother, Bobby Williams.

A funeral service will commence at 11 am on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, with the Rev. Kevin Sorensen, pastor of the Westmoreland Awaken Church, officiating. In lieu of floral offerings, kindly donate in his memory to the American Diabetes Association.  A heartfelt thank you is extended to Oneida Extended Care for their compassion.  

Arrangements for the burial service are under the direction and care of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131.  There are no calling hours.
