Glen E. Wilkerson

Mr. Glen E. Wilkerson, age 62, of Country Road, Utica (Town of Schuyler), passed away on Wednesday evening, August 23, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, with the love and support of his family by his side.

He was born on April 8, 1961 in Pennsylvania, son of the late Robert Wilkerson Sr. and Joyce (Booth) Wilkerson of PA and graduated from Herkimer High School.  On Dec. 4, 2011, he was united in marriage with Jeanne Bottoni Allen at the Masonic Home, Utica.  

Many will remember Glen as the owner/operator of Sentry Mail and Parcel Store, Utica, NY, opening the store in the later 1980's.  He then became an ice cream vendor running the Ice Cream Cellar, operating this business all over the local area.  

Glen was first and foremost a sci-fi fan, reading many sci-fi books. He was a master scuba diver and a gun instructor for the Trenton Gun Club. He loved the times spent with his beloved canine companion, Milla. Glen will be sadly missed by his family and friends, all who loved him dearly.  

Survivors besides his devoted wife Jeanne of Utica include three step-sons, Jason Allen and wife Jessica of Lee Center, Douglas Allen-Grisales and husband Estaban of Utica and Joshua Allen Bottoni of MA; brothers, Robert Wilkerson, Jr. and wife Diane of VA, Scott Wilkerson and wife Cory of PA and David Wilkerson of NC; five grandchildren, Filomena, Cecelia, Ivy, Khloe and Jaxson; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Also surviving is his close friend, Sandra Wilkerson.
