James Gerald "Jim" Beacraft, USAF, age 42, a Little Falls native, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 in his home, in the Town of Newport.
He was born in Little Falls on Aug. 27, 1980, son of Daniel Beacraft, III of Little Falls and the late Cynthia (Wren) Beacraft. He received his education in Little Falls schools, graduating with the Little Falls High School "Class of 1999". During his high school years he was active with the football team. He went on to serve his country enlisting with the US Air Force in 2003 and served for several years until receiving a medical discharge in 2010. He served overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan during his tour of duty and was at one time stationed in Alaska and Texas.
Survivors include his father, Daniel Beacraft, III and wife Rebecca of Little Falls; his brother, Daniel Beacraft, IV and wife Krista of Little Falls, a brother, Jarred Beacraft and wife Danielle of Verona; his girlfriend, Linda Mazzatti; step brother, Sergio Loring, step sisters, Brittany Loring and Rebecca Loring; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia in 2006 and sister, Rebecca Beacraft, in 1993. He was also predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Josephine (Gordon) Beacraft, Jr. and maternal grandparents, James and Geraldine Wren.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131. A funeral service will commence at 7 pm on Monday, January 30, 2023 from MVFC. The US Air Force will offer military honors. Calling hours will take place on Monday evening from 5 pm until 7 pm, prior to the service. He will be laid to rest with his mother and sister later in the spring in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
