James Joseph Riggi, Jr.

FONDA – Mr. James Joseph Riggi, Jr., age 75, of the Town of Mohawk, passed away at his home unexpectedly on June 11th, 2026.

He was born July 6th, 1950, in Schenectady, New York, a son of the late James, Sr., and Antoinette (Costanzo) Riggi. James lived life to the fullest. He was a Race Car Driver #21 and loved riding motorcycles. He worked in autobody repair for 40 years. He loved gardening and cooking and was a very kindhearted person who would help anyone if he could.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Paula Riggi, his daughter, Sheena Burger, his son, Salvatore Riggi, his grandsons, Gavin Burger and Logan Burger, and sisters, Linda Riggi and Karen Van Detta.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, with the time and place to be announced.
