Jeffrey Joseph "Jeff" White

Herkimer, New York-Jeffrey Joseph "Jeff" White, age 71, of Johnson Ave., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, October 9, 2022 at the St. Luke's Campus of the MVHS, New Hartford due to heart complications.  He had the love and support of his family at his side, at the time of his passing.

He was born on July 8, 1951 in Herkimer, son of the late Raymond and Esther (VanValkenburg) White and educated in Herkimer schools.  He attended SUNY Utica, obtaining a business degree.  Jeff was united in marriage with Donna Day on June 20, 1981 in Herkimer; a union of 41 years.  He retired as the owner and operator of Jeff White Enterprises, Herkimer. 

Jeff was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching the NY Giants.  He loved spending time at his Pine Lake camp.  He was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include his loving family; his wife, Donna of Herkimer; Megan White of Herkimer, Marle White of Nashville, TN; a cherished grandson, Caleb Jeffrey White; siblings, Jean and Ray Parnell of Michigan, Jimmy and Mary White of Ilion and Patrick White of Gloversville; nieces and nephews, Lindsay, Allison and Brian White, Kim and Pete Parnell of Michigan, Greg Parnell, Mary Jo Parnell and Wendy White and Laura White.  Jeff was preceded in death by his daughter, Jolene White and by his brother, Bill White.

A memorial service will commence at 6 pm on Thursday evening, October 13, 2022 from Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidleman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131 with the Rev. Brian Slezak, pastor of Holy Family Parish and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, officiating.  Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.  Relatives and friends may pay their respects at MVFC from 4-6 pm, prior to the service on Thursday.
