Jerome J. "Jerry" Griffith

Mr. Jerome J. “Jerry” Griffith, age 78, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Thursday evening, February 20, 2025, at Little Falls Hospital.

He was born in Little Falls on October 29, 1946, son of the late Alan and Anne (Callahan) Griffith and educated in Little Falls schools. He was united in marriage with the former Susan Tetreault on February 17, 1968, a blessed union of 57 years. Jerry retired as assistant chief plant operator at the City of Little Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant from September of 1973 until his retirement in 2007, over 34 years of dedicated service to the City of Little Falls. Jerry loved the outdoors, fishing, and boating.

Survivors include his beloved family, his wife, Susan of Little Falls; his daughter, Laurie Chriest of Cincinnati, Ohio, four grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Jesse and Ayden; one great grandson, sisters, Monica Healy and husband Michael, Rosalie Halloran and husband John; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Griffith in July of 2016 and by a sister, Kathleen Moynihan and her husband Peter.

Cremation has taken place in accordance with Jerry’s wishes. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 11am-12 noon at Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidleman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131, with a funeral service to follow at 12 pm at MVFC, also on Thursday. Burial will take place at the convenience of his family.
