Joanne Marie (Pugliese) Tucci

Joanne Marie (Pugliese) Tucci, age 83, of Little Falls, NY entered peacefully into eternal rest after a long illness at her home that she shared with her daughter Lori and family on Saturday, January 27, 2024 with her loving family by her side.  

She was born on December 17, 1940 in Dolgeville, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Hooper) Pugliese.  She was educated in Dolgeville school district and Saint Mary’s Academy, Little Falls.  She was a long-term employee of Herkimer County BOCES, where she retired in 2010.  She was united in marriage on November 11, 1978 to the late Gary Michael Tucci, Sr; they shared a blessed union of 37 years.   She loved spending time with her children and family members.  Cooking, and getting together for pitch games, casino trips, and traveling with her family brought her joy. She was a devout Catholic parishioner of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, NY.  Joanne prayed daily for her loving family, friends, and those in need. Her unwavering faith and dedication to her religious practices were inspirational.  

A devoted family woman, first and foremost, Joanne created a home filled with love, laughter and the traditions of her Italian heritage. Her greatest accomplishment, was being a mother and grandmother, an unparalleled role she cherished above all. She was filled with love, compassion and faith. Joanne upheld family traditions with style and grace.  Her door was always open to family and friends and she cherished all of the memories made.

She is survived by her eight children, Charles (Ella) Warn, Patricia (Darrel) Young, Susan Sirianni, Deborah (Dan) Hurteau, Beverly (Chris) Davis, Joseph Warn, Lori (John) Almaviva, Gary Tucci (Jennifer Miller), and daughter-in-law, Cindy Warn; a sister, Marie Pennucci; Brothers Joseph (Deborah) Pugliese, and Michael (Barb) Pugliese; twenty one grandchildren and thirty five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, in-laws from her husband’s family; and a special friend, Jennifer Talbot. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Evelyn; her husband, Gary; and son, Terry Warn.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the locally/family owned Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131 on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 6-8 pm. Joanne's funeral will commence at 10:30 am on Tuesday, Jan. 30th from the chapel of MVFC where a transfer prayer will be offered followed by her Mass of Christian Burial commencing at 11 am from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Sts., with the Rev.
