John T. Dise

   John T. Dise, age 57, passed away after a  brief illness on Tuesday afternoon, April 25, 2023 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, surrounded by his cherished family.

   He was born on May 9, 1965, son of John and Judy Dise. John married his soulmate and bestfriend Jane Dillman, September 17th 1994. They were blessed with three children, and many years of adventures together. He was a self employed construction worker who took a lot of pride in his work. He enjoyed the simplest things life had to offer, refurbishing antiques for his wife, watching the sun set beyond the horizon after a long day at the beach. John loved the water, whether he was surfing, out on his sailboat or teaching his grandchildren how to fish. He was a kind hearted man who impacted many peoples lives. He will be missed and forever cherished by his loved ones. 

    John is survived by his wife Jane. His son Travis and wife Ivana, daughter Autumn and Fiancé Timothy. Sister in law Denise Dillman, brother in law Robert Dillman and wife Sue. His brother Bill and wife Lisa.  He was preceded in death by his son Jimmy in 2003. 

   John was Poppy to his three grandchildren, Zachary, Melody and Silas. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He relished in any opportunity to spend time with them, teach them all he knew as well as to tell anyone who would listen how beautiful, strong and intelligent they are. He never hesitated to remind them how proud he was of them.

   John’s loved ones will be holding a Celebration of Life memorial at a later date; Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131.
