John F. Gronosky

December 10, 1947 — June 11, 2017

Town of Danube-Mr. John F. Gronosky, age 69, of Fords Bush Rd., passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Sunday afternoon, June 11, 2017.  At the time of his passing he was in the presence of his loved ones.  He was born in Little Falls on Dec. 10, 1947, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Taylor) Gronoski and graduated from Little Falls High School and has lived in Little Falls his entire life.  After high school he went on to serve his country enlisting with the United States Air Force on Aug. 4, 1967.  John made a career with the Air Force serving for over 20 years of continuous active military service.  He was honorably discharged on August 31, 1987 at Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome holding the rank of Technical Sgt.  Because of his loyal and dedication to our country he was the recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon and Air Force Training Ribbon.   John was last employed by PEMS of Little Falls and formerly with Union Fork and Hoe and Little Falls Hospital.  He will always be remembered for his caring and helping of others.  Survivors include a sister in law, Evie Gronosky; a niece, Christine and nephew Bill.  Also surviving are several good friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father and by a brother, William Gronosky of Little Falls.
