Town of Schuyler, NY-Joseph J. Aiello, III, 67, of Schuyler, passed away peacefully, Monday night, August 5, 2019, at his home, with his loving family by his side, following an illness. He was born on July 27, 1952, in Utica, the son of the late Joseph J. and Virginia Napoli Aiello, Jr. and was a graduate of Whitesboro High School. On September 7, 1974, Joe married the former Julia Lichtarski in St. Peter’s Church, N. Utica. A lifelong resident of Schuyler, Joe continued the family business, Aiello and Sons Moving. He then established Wood Creek Farm where he put his heart and passion into horticulture. Joe enjoyed his time playing drums with his band, Blue Knights. During his free time, he took pleasure in fishing and the outdoors, especially his greenhouses. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren along with the family. A true family man that will be missed by all. He is survived by his beloved wife, Julia, his sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph J. and Amanda Aiello, IV and Jason Aiello, all of Schuyler; his grandsons; Sam Aiello and Joseph J. Aiello, V; his sister and brother-in-law, Debora and William Murphy of Oriskany; his aunts and uncle, Susan Senzik of Utica and JoAnn and Ray Rowback of Kirkland and nieces, nephews and several cousins. In honoring Joe’s wishes, his funeral and interment will be held privately on the family farm at the convenience of the family. Donations, in Joe’s memory, may be offered to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
