Mr. Lynn A. James, age 89, a longtime resident of Burlington Flats, most recently a resident of Folts Brook Center in Herkimer, passed away on Thursday morning, July 22, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica.
He was born on December 17, 1931, in Burlington Flats, son of the late Arnold D. and Florence (Seifried) James. Lynn was a graduate of Edmeston Central School. For many years, he held employment with several local car dealerships. Lynn was a quiet, simple man. In his leisure time he enjoyed camping on Canadarago Lake, riding his motorcycle, and snowmobiling on one of the first snowmobiles ever made. He spent many special times with his brother who he thought the world of. They did everything together.
Survivors include his niece, Karen Moss-Charles of Little Falls, his nephew Richard A. Harris of Burlington Flats, and a special cousin, Nora Herrick-Zumsteg of Delaware. He also leaves his beloved cat, Joe. Lynn was preceded in death by his siblings, John James, Evelyn James, and Doris Harris.
Lynn and his family's care has been placed in the trust of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidleman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131. In keeping with Lynn’s wishes, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 commencing at 11 am in Burlington Flats Cemetery. There were no calling hours.
