Mr. Lynn Paul Darrow, 87, of the town of Danube (Little Falls), passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, February 6, 2022 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1934, son of the late Maurice and Lillian (Miller) Darrow. On July 2, 1955 he was united in marriage with Ella Yager. She passed away on August 5, 1994. Lynn was last employed with Union Fork and Hoe, Frankfort. He retired following 38 years of dedicated service.

Lynn loved being outdoors and enjoyed tending to his garden. He considered his most important hobby being in the presence of his loved ones, with whom he spent many wonderful times and shared many cherished memories with. He never wanted to miss a moment of life with his family and the many roles he played during his time were extremely gratifying. His accomplishments were nurtured and enhanced through his loving family and friendships he formed. As a father and grandfather, he knew the importance of always being there. In Lynn's spare time, he enjoyed going out to dinner. He was graced with a generous heart that touched those who knew and loved him and will be sorely missed by all.

Survivors include his beloved family; his children, Lynn Talbot and husband Ron of Danube, William Darrow and wife Debbie of Danube, Norma Dunckel and husband Vern of Starkville, Melinda Shaut of Danube and Henry Darrow of Ft. Plain; siblings, Flora Stock of Danube and Marion Bouck of Ft. Plain; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ida Fort on April 23, 2018, by a son, Kurt Douglas Darrow, brothers, Glenn and Albert Darrow, sister Ruth Hulbert, son in law, Daniel Shaut, daughter in law, Debra Darrow and by his grandson, Brian Talbot on Oct. 22, 2021.

A funeral service will commence at 11 am on Thursday morning, Feb. 10. 2022 at 11 am from Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131. Spring burial service will take place at a time to be announced in Fly Creek Cemetery. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at MVFC on Wednesday Feb. 9, 2022 from 5-7 pm and also on Thursday morning, Feb. 10th from 10-11 am, prior to the funeral service.
