Mario J. Mr. Motion Sementilli

Frankfort, NY-Mr. Mario J. "Mr. Motion" Sementilli, a lifelong area resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, on his 84th birthday. He was born on May 15, 1934 in Rome, Italy, son of the late Gabriel and Chesarina (Vincenza) Sementilli and educated in Italian schools.  He came to the USA with his family in 1958.  Mario was a master mechanic in his professional life.  He cherished his animals and of course, working in his gardens.  Mario was a big race/drag car fan and cherished his Boss 429 mustang.   Survivors include his children, Lisa Mayo and husband Duane of Saratoga, John Sementilli and wife Stacey of E. Herkimer, David Sementilli and wife Lori of Mohawk, Anthony Sementilli and wife Lisa of East Herkimer, Marc Sementilli of Frankfort, Dawn Knauss of Cooperstown and Paul Sementilli of PA; numerous wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren all whom he loved deeply. There are no calling hours.  Graveside services will take place privately and at the convenience of Mario's family at St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer.  The family would like to thank the many relatives and friends for their kind acts of sympathy during this difficult time.  Daniel J.
