Mary Jean Bowman

Herkimer, NY-Mrs. Mary Jean Bowman, age 82, of Galinsky Apts., passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, Nov. 14, 2017 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer. She was born on March 21, 1935 in Plainfield, NY, daughter of the late Davis and Hazel Miller.  Mrs. Bowman was united in marriage with Alfred Bowman, a union of many years until his passing in November of 1973. Mary Jean enjoyed crocheting and of course watching her favorite shows, Wheel of Fortune and the  Jerry Springer show.   Survivors include her two sons, Lee Bowman and wife Debbie of Frankfort and Victor Bowman and wife Keitha of Frankfort; grandchildren, Alyssa Bowman and Rob Bowman, Court Bowman and Jon Moorehouse Latasha McCauley and Cassandra Bowman; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Howard Miller and wife Carmella of Ohio; nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters along with a daughter, Jaquie Richardson, son, Randy Bowman and by her grandson, James Moorehouse.   In keeping with her wishes, there are no public services.  Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest by her husband. This service will be at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Valley Health Services, 690 W. German St., Herkimer, who took wonderful, loving care of Mary Jean.  A special thanks is also extended to Mrs. Bowman's friends at Galinsky Apartments, for their companionship and concern.  Daniel J.
