Mary Frances (Jakin) Mosher

Mrs. Mary Frances (Jaikin) Mosher, age 76, a resident of Amsterdam, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, April 22, 2022 in the comfort of her home. She had the love and support of her family by her side, when her passing occurred.
Mary was born on Feb. 10, 1946 in Little Falls, NY, daughter of the late Peter and Cora (Strait) Jaikin. She was united in marriage with Harold L. Mosher on September 17, 1966; a loving, blessed and devoted union of 55 years. They made their home in Amsterdam. A woman devoted to her family, Mary was a loving and committed wife, mother and grandmother. She both loved and prioritized her family and her generous heart inspired her constant giving to family and friends.
Mary enjoyed camping and the outdoors, long car rides and spending time with her cherished family and friends. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary was a friend to many. She was a stay-at- home mom who always took wonderful, loving care of her family, raising her children with delicate hands and an always open heart.
She is survived by her adored family; her husband, Harold of Amsterdam, four children, Tina Edgar (Daryl Covey), Laura Wilcox (Timothy), Harold D. Mosher (Melissa), Nathan J. Mosher (Katrina Carstarphen); eleven cherished grandchildren, twenty adored great grandchildren; her siblings, Peter Jaikin, Linda Dykeman, Ana Hayes and Eva Carpenter; many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her canine companion, Baxter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Aci and James Jaikin.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Mary’s funeral service commencing at 12 noon on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from the chapel of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidleman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131 where fond memories will be shared and her life will be celebrated. Calling hours at MVFC will take place from 10 am until 12 noon, prior to the service on Thursday. A funeral procession to Dibble Tuttle Cemetery, will follow the service, where Mary will be laid to rest.
