Matthew Joseph Holleran, Sr., age 61, a native of Morristown, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 1st, 2021 in his home in Austin, Texas.
Matt was born in Ogdensburg, NY on December 29, 1959, son of the late Francis and Eileen Holleran and is survived by his four sons, Joshua, Matthew Jr., Luke and Andrew, all of the Austin area, and Rosemary Alderete, the loving mother of his children. Matt is also survived by siblings, Maureen, Mary Nora, Francis, James and Anne Marie, in addition to numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He served our country with the US Marine Corps.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, May 15th commencing at 2pm at St. John the Evangelist Church, 506 Gouverneur St, Morristown, NY, with burial to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his parents. Matthew and the Holleran family's care has been placed in the trust of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131.
