Melissa Ann (Sanders) Edick, 51, of State Route 168, Mohawk, entered the arms of the Lord on Saturday afternoon, July 16, 2022, at her residence. At the time of her passing, she had the love and support of her family, by her side.

She was born on Dec. 11, 1970 in Cooperstown, daughter of the late Stephen and Donna (White) Sanders. She was united in marriage with Richard Alan Edick on October 12, 1991 in Starkville, NY, a blessed union of 30 years. Melissa graduated from Fort Plain High School. She spent many years taking care of her family and home. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her cherished family; her husband, Richard at home; son, Brad Edick of Ilion, daughter, Dannielle Edick of NV, son, Jerimiah Edick of SC, daughter, Sonae Edick of Mohawk; her mother, Donna Sanders of Ft. Plain; her sisters, Tina Johnson of Canajoharie and her children, Brandon and Nicholas Johnson of Syracuse, Sherndale Hinton and her children, Tahleyah, Marcus Hinton and Zoe Merriman; Stephianne Sanders and her children, Makayla Dunbar and Jhaida Hune; aunts and uncles, Linda White, Dennis White, Maggie White, Dave White and wife Alberta, Rick White and wife Marie, Joe White, Melody Richardson and husband Rick; Shirley White and husband Tom, Barb Sanders, Beth Skottee and husband Kris, Bill Sanders and Timothy Sanders; in laws, Walter Edick and Deb and Steve Williams. Also surviving are many cousins. Kindly consider memorial offerings in her name to the Grandview Baptist Church, 15 Washington St., Fort Plain, NY 13339.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidleman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131. Visitation at MVFC will take place on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 10am until 12 pm, followed by a funeral service commencing at 12 noon with the Rev. Sean Morin, pastor of the Grandview Baptist Church, Fort Plain, officiating. Procession will follow to Mt. Hope Cemetery, Fords Bush Rd., Fort Plain,where Melissa will be laid to rest.
