July 11, 1965 — January 7, 2019

Blossvale, New York-Michael T. Grant, age 53, of Cook Road, passed away in his sleep on Monday morning, January 7, 2019 at his home, with his loving wife at his side. He was born on July 11, 1965 in Fayetville, North Carolina, son of Robert Grant and Georgia Colangelo Isereau.  Michael was educated in Little Falls schools and graduated with the Little Falls High School, Class of 1984.  Mike was on the wrestling and baseball teams throughout school. On December 1, 2018, he was joined in marriage with Deborah at their home in Blossvale.  He was employed with New York Sash for 14 years as a carpenter.  He also held employment as a carpenter with various other companies and operated his own contracting business, Grant Brothers Construction, Little Falls.  Mike was very active with Boy Scouts, achieving his Eagle Scout.  He served as a canoe guide at Camp Russell for out trips during the summer.  Michael was a huge music fan and loved playing the bass guitar.  He had his own band which was comprised of his close friends.  Mike loved being outdoors and was passionate about politics.   Above all, Mike was always willing to go above and beyond for his family and friends.  Each loving relationship that he created was kept close to his huge heart.  He was a kind, caring, loving and devoted family man who will be sadly missed by so many people that had the fortunate experience of knowing him.   Survivors his beloved wife, Deborah at home; his cherished daughter, Marisa Grant his loving parents, Robert L. Grant of Little Falls and Georgia Isereau of Little Falls; his beloved step-daughter, Kasey Bernier; his close siblings, Melissa Reff and husband Norman of Little Falls and Christopher Grant and wife Lisa of Little Falls; nephew and godson, Nikolaus Reff and wife Erika, niece, Daniela Reff, nieces, Erika and Paige Grant, nephew Christopher Grant; many other extended family and close friends.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Gertrude Grant and maternal grandparents, Leonard and Frances Colangelo. Kindly consider and send memorial offerings in Mike's name to your local humane society.  The Grant family would like to offer their gratitude to the many family members and friends for their support during this difficult time.  Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidelman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131, has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements.  Calling hours at Dan Enea's funeral home location will take place on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 4-7 p.m.  Relatives and friends are also respectfully invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday, January 12th at 11 am from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Sts., Little Falls, with The Rev. Terence Healy, officiating assisted by Deacon James Bower.  Burial will take place privately and at the convenience of the family.  Please click above, to add to his online memorial.
