He was born on July 20, 1957 in Maryland, son of Joseph and Molly (Stauffer) Cruskie and educated in New Hartford schools. He was employed as a professor for over 30 years of dedicated service with Mohawk Valley Community College as part of the speech and theater faculty. Paul will always be remembered as a gentle soft-spoken man. He loved the theater and was active as an actor, director, set and lighting designer. Some of his favorite roles on stage were Hamlet and Martin Dysart from Equus. Paul and his beloved wife, Dale (Mosher) were together for nearly 40 years and resided in Herkimer.
Survivors include his wife Dale at home, his parents, Joseph and Molly of New Hartford, two sisters, Catherine Eckmair of Merrimack, NH and Ann Jachim of Reston, VA, his uncle, Dr. Robert (Sylvia) Chruscicki of Utica, his aunt, Mary Rose Schneider of Ft. Myers, FL, a sister in law, Dawn Martin of Delmar, NY, a brother in law, Bryan (Judy) Mosher of Prattville, Alabama, nephews, Erik, Adam, Jeremy Eckmair, Brandon Mosher and Brian Mosher and nieces, Nicolle Martin and Jennifer Hilgendorf. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Andrew Chruscicki, brother John Cruskie and nephew, Shawn Martin.
