Mrs. Pearl Audrey (Congdon) Brownell, age 88, of Prospect St., Little Falls, passed away early Monday morning, November 15th, 2021, at the St. Luke's Campus of the Mohawk Valley Health System, New Hartford. She had the love and support of her family at her side, when her passing occurred.

She was born on July 21, 1933 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Herman and Golda (Harlow) Congdon and received her education in Little Falls schools. She was last employed with Little Falls Hospital, where she retired after 20 years of dedicated service. Pearl was affectionately known as the Sunshine lady at her adored church, First Assembly of God, Little Falls where she was a longtime active member and also served on their board. Her ministry was sending cards to the church members for many years. She always had the knack of knowing what type of card to send on any occasion. Whether it was a birthday, get-well, encouragement or sympathy note, she was always there to brighten someone's day. She loved being in the presence of her family, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. She loved and enjoyed her many trips to Florida. One of her favorite hobbies was sitting on her back porch enjoying her home, plants (especially her chickies) and surroundings. Pearl will also be remembered for her famous apple pie.

Survivors include her cherished large family; children, Debbie Isom and husband Mike of Florida, Dawn Beers and husband Warren of Little Falls, Edie Marino and Jack Korce of Mohawk, Tom Brownell and Pauline of Little Falls and Brian Brownell of Little Falls; son in law, David Chadaeyne of Ilion; sisters, Freda Eaker of Herkimer, Geraldine Goldstein and husband Gerald of Herkimer, Florence Benson of Little Falls, Laura Buhaj and husband Mike of Little Falls, Janet Travis of Dolgeville and Joanne Keeler of Dolgeville; brother in law, Buster Klock of Herkimer; sister in law, Pat Congdon of Mohawk; grandchildren, Brant Isom, Ryan Isom and wife Laura, Joe Fraser and wife Samantha, David Beers and wife Jocelyn, Scott Beers and Madison, Sam Marino and wife Deanna, Stefanie Roorda and husband Sam, Kristi Malone and Rob, Emma Korce, Mark Brownell and wife Tina, Becky Brownell, Ashley Miller and husband Ryan, Brian Phillips and Kayla, Brittani Chadaeyne and Andrew, Patrick Lawrence; 23 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
