Raymond Edward Austin, 51, a lifelong Dolgeville resident, passed away on Friday evening, February 26, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones. His passing followed a battle with cancer.
He was born on March 29, 1969, son of the late John and Dolores (Peet) Austin, Sr., and educated locally. His last employment was with Ray's Trees Service, Little Falls.
Ray was a loving father and grandfather. He was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Shawn Nichols and June of Little Falls, Justin Warner and Lizzy of Ilion and Veronica and Donald Walsh of Dolgeville and Cory Austin of Dolgeville; grandchildren, Payton, Calypso, Blake, Cadence, Toby, Brantley, Tyron, Ariana and Chloe; a brother, John Austin, Jr; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Austin.
In keeping with his wishes, services are private and at the convenience of the family. Ray and his family's care has been placed in the trust of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidelman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131 Cremation will take place.
