Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Brownell

Our beloved Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Brownell, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in her home, at the age of 39.

Rebecca was born at Ilion Hospital on June 21, 1985, daughter of Thomas J. and Pauline M. (Perry) Brownell and received her education in the Little Falls Central School District, graduating from Little Falls High School, “Class of 2003”. She attended Herkimer County Community College. Becky was last employed at the HBE Insurance Group, Herkimer and Canajoharie Golf and Country Club

Over the years, Becky established numerous friendships in all aspects of her life. One of her best friends was her late brother, Justin, and it brings the family great comfort to know that they are together again. Becky was a free spirit, and she had a fondness for all things and possessed a big, beautiful, and loving heart. She had an unmatched love for loving life and people, always sharing her latest adventures with her good friends. She had an everlasting bond with every one of her family members and friends. Becky’s greatest blessing in life was being a mother to her boys, Gabe and Luke. They had a special relationship and created countless joyful memories.

Survivors include her cherished family; her parents, Thomas and Pauline of Little Falls; the loves of her life and her two sons, Gabriel and Luke; her brother, Mark Anthony Brownell and wife Tina Marie of Albany; nieces, Briella Brownell and Gabreana Ropeter; many close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, two very special friends, Allison Sherwood and Bernard Jakiela. She was preceded in death by her brother Justin, her paternal grandparents, John and Patricia Brownell, Pearl (Congdon) Brownell and maternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Perry of Little Falls. Her aunt, who was very dear to Becky, also preceded her in death, Nellie Chadeayne.

Daniel J. Enea-Director of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, Little Falls, 315-508-5131 has been entrusted with Becky's funeral arrangements and with caring for her family. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at MVFC, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 11 am until 2 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home (2 pm) on Friday with the Rev. Tim Parisi, officiating. Procession will follow to Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills where she will be laid to rest with her brother Justin and other dear family members who have passed before Becky.
