Mr. Richard C. Blowers, 79, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, October 1, 2021 at Palatine Nursing Home, Palatine Bridge, New York.

He was born on July 7, 1942 in Gloversville, son of the late George and Marion (VanAntwerp) Blowers and he was educated in Fonda-Fultonville Central School and attended Morrisville College. He was united in marriage with Carol (Manclow) in St. Johnsville on Aug. 27, 1966; a devoted union of 55 years. His lifelong career was being a proud dairy farmer having worked alongside his father and son at the George W. Blowers and Son, Inc., family farm, Johnstown. His entire life and most loved hobby was farming.

Survivors besides his wife Carol include, his son, Darin Blowers and wife Julie of Fonda, his daughter, Kelly Blowers and significant other, David Hinkle of Johnstown; four sisters, Shirley Weiermiller and Everett of Elmira, Janice Born and Robert of N. Ft. Meyers, FL, Susan Sayles and Doug of Ballston Lake, and Barbara Warschawski of Charlottesville, VA; his grandchildren, Seth Blowers and fiancée Miranda Hartel, Haylee Blowers, Nathan Epting and Kimberly Epting and fiancé Brian Schneider along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Richard's celebration of life commencing at 11am on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Kindly consider contributions in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association. Richard and his family's care has been entrusted to Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, Little Falls (corner of Bidleman Road), 315-508-5131.
