Ronald A. "Ron" Chrisman,
Little Falls, New York
Mr. Ronald A. “Ron” Chrisman, age 68, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, April 25, 2022 at St. Johnsville Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, following a brief illness.
He was born July 24, 1953 in Little Falls, son of the late Robert and Arleta Chrisman and educated in Little Falls schools, graduating with the Little Falls High School, “Class of 1973”. Ron was originally employed with P and C Grocery Store, Little Falls and retired from Tops Supermarket, after more than 35 years of dedicated service. For eleven years, Ron shared a union with Cindy Lindsay and they resided in Little Falls.
Ron enjoyed bowling, playing sports, going to the racetrack and being outdoors. He enjoyed his trips to the Casino and attending the Fonda Races. Ron treasured the moments attending his loved ones sporting events in Little Falls on numerous occasions. Everyone got along with him, especially those with the common desire for laughs and unforgettable times. Ron will be well remembered for his friendly and outgoing ways whose most important priority was meeting the needs of family members.
Survivors include his devoted family; his daughter, Emily Chrisman (Greg Costello) of Little Falls; his companion Cindy Lindsay at home; step-children, Jessica Phillips (John Lemke) of Little Falls, Amy Thomas (Rob) of Mohawk, Bill Wilcox, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL; his siblings, Robert Chrisman, Jr. (Brenda), of Little Falls and Keith “Groovy” Chrisman (Norma) of Little Falls; his numerous grandchildren, a great grandchild, nieces, nephews and cousins and his special friends, Scott and Tracy Rood and Paul Tarbox. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Joan Chrisman and Shirley Fiaschetti and by his nephew, Kevin Chrisman, who passed away July 29, 2015. The family offers their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at St. Johnsville Nursing and Rehab for their kindness and compassion.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, (corner of Bidleman Road), 315-508-5131, on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10 am until 12 noon. His funeral service will commence at 12 noon (also on Saturday, April 30th from MVFC) with the Rev. Jack Whritnour, Rector of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls, officiating. A private burial service will be held in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls, where Ron will be laid to rest.
