Mr. Roy L. Biechy, age 64, a longtime resident of Thumb Road, St. Johnsville, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Albany Medical Center.

Roy was born on December 1, 1957 in Bethlehem, PA son of the late Lester and Margaret (Frantz) Biechy. He was united in marriage with Marguerite Davis on Aug. 23, 1986 at St. Johns Reformed Church, St. Johnsville; a devoted union of 35 years. He was last employed with General Electric, Schenectady as a security guard.

Roy loved the outdoors, especially gardening and planting flowers. He enjoyed football, especially the Las Vegas Raiders. Music was another one of Roy's favorite hobbies and he loved classic rock. He was an outgoing individual with a great sense of humor who loved playing pranks on his friends and giving them outlandish nicknames. Halloween and Christmas were his favorite holidays where he loved decorating. Roy will be sadly missed by his family and friends and forever remembered for his very memorable laugh.

Survivors include his wife, Margie of St. Johnsville; his children, Jeffrey Hartman and wife Amanda of Huntington, PA, Heidi Snell and husband Ryan of Little Falls and Hillary Biechy-Crosier and husband Michael of Stratford; a brother, Jim Kolb of PA; a sister, Shirley Weber and husband Todd of PA; a sister, Barbara Biechy of PA; a sister, Renee Shupp and husband Carl of PA; four grandchildren, Rowan, Evita, Cecila and Michael; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bart Biechy and Leslie Biechy. The family offers their gratitude to Hudson Park Nuring Home for their kindess and compassion.

Roy's funeral will commence at 1 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (corner of Bidleman Road), Little Falls, 315-508-5131 with the Rev. Thomas Flanders, officiating. A calling hour will take place at MVFC also on Saturday, July 9th, from 12 noon until 1 pm, prior to the funeral service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at West St. Johnsville Cemetery.
