Shannon Marie (Johnson) Kane

Little Falls, NY-Shannon Marie Kane, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Monday evening, February 12, 2018.  Her passing occurred at the Albany Medical Center, which ended her valiant battle.  She was 39. She was born in Little Falls on February 18, 1978, daughter of Paul Johnson of Little Falls and the late Roberta Keyser Johnson.  Mrs. Johnson passed away December 27, 2003.  Shannon was educated in Little Falls schools and graduated with the “Class of 1996”.  Following high school, she pursued her career in radiology attending the St. Elizabeth School for Radiology.  She then began working for Little Falls (Bassett) Hospital as a X-Ray/Cat Scan Tech and later Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, until her illness forced her to not be able work.  On August 22, 2004, Shannon was united in marriage with Kevin S. Kane at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Joseph Famulare, officiating.  Shannon loved being outdoors, especially fishing and camping.  She loved to attend concerts, watching the Amish way of life and most of all, being in the love and comfort of her family.  She was a big fan of the Syracuse Orangeman and New York Mets sports teams.  Survivors include her beloved and cherished family; her husband Kevin; her father, Paul Johnson and companion Linda of Little Falls; her adored children, Brandon, Zackary and Hunter all of Little Falls; three brothers, Paul Johnson, Jr. of Little Falls, Scott Johnson and wife Amy of Georgia and Carl Johnson of Herkimer; in laws, Ronald and Joan Kane of Little Falls; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Also surviving are several devoted friends, who will miss her dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to memorial visitation at Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (town of Manheim), between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131, on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 4-7 p.m.  A funeral service will commence also on Friday, beginning at 7 p.m. at the chapel at Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, Little Falls with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, officiating.  Burial be private and at the convenience of Shannon’s family.  Kindly consider memorial offerings in her name to a charity of her choice.
