Shannon Michael Miller

Shannon Michael Miller, age 47, a native of Dolgeville, passed away suddenly on Monday morning, April 8, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Little Falls on Oct. 16, 1976, son of Theodore B. and Kathleen Marie (Dineen) Miller, Sr. of Dolgeville, and educated in Dolgeville Schools.  He was last employed at Keymark Corporation, Fonda.  Shannon enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.  He had a passion for animals and he worked on the Lance Johnson Farm, Inghams Mills.  Shannon was also employed by Geraty Pools at one time.  He was a man who always kept busy, was involved in many different projects tending to them all with dedication.

Shannon was a hard worker who always put everything into all he did. A completely selfless father, son and brother, he was first and foremost family oriented. He always made his loved ones his main focus. Some of his most cherished memories were of family gatherings.  

Survivors besides his parents, include his two cherished daughters, Samantha Miller of Mohawk and Ashley Miller of Johnstown; adored grandchildren, Xiomara and Xavier; close brothers, Theodore B. Miller, Jr. and companion, Laura of Salisbury, Jamie Miller and wife Yokasta of New Hartford, and Michael Miller and wife Kristen of Long Island; beloved nieces, Jakyra, Juisa, Julissa and Serena.  Survivors also include many aunts, uncles and cousins.   He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Louise Dineen and paternal grandparents, George and Jennie Miller.  

The family will gather privately to have their goodbyes with Shannon. Memorial services will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2024 with visitation to take place from 2-4 pm at the locally/family owned and operated Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, Town of Manheim, 315-508-5131.  A funeral service will follow at 4pm on Saturday, April 20th at MVFC where memories and stories will be shared.  Burial will take place privately. The family would like to offer their gratitude to Veddersburg Community and Supportive Housing who always offered kindness and compassion to Shannon.
